Connecting to Our Youth, Our Devine Calling and Stewardship
When I was a youth and young father, I'd see parents and youth struggling in their relationships. I'd see parents at their wits end with their children and ready to give up. I'd see young men and young women so frustrated with their parents they wanted to give up. Literally, check out. And I, of course would say to myself, "that won't be me, I'll have an amazing relationship with my kids"! That was 20+ years ago and over the years, I've been frustrated, my kids irritated with me. Fortunately, that's been infrequent. We've learned to take time for each other and connect. We've learned love languages, body language, personal styles, Christ-like atributes, the 5 key relationships, and we've learned 4 simple steps to connecting. Today, we dont always agree, we sometimes even get on each other's nerves, but we love to work and play together. And when something important is going on with one of us, we know how to deeply connect and help each other through the challenges.
